Seven years ago, LAW LIK AH or LA LAW (Kevin Cheng) was the legend in the legal industry and can fight a lawsuit without asking morality or by unfair means. Because he was often in a mix of pursuing fame and condemned conscience, LA LAW eventually became psychologically imbalance and vanished in the legal industry. Seven years later, LA LAW makes a comeback and chooses to use law to protect justice as a way to rescue himself, who previously buries his conscience. LA establishes a residential legal consultant center in Sham Siu Po to help the residents fight for injustice.

When LA's professionalism and morals are inconsistent, he rather careless about fame and fortune and give up on the lawsuit. On the contrary, attorney WONG SI FU (Myolie Wu) engages herself in the high class society for a better life. She has the self-confidence to balance the pursuit of fame, fortune and legal justice. This has always been her goal.

LA and FU encounter through different cases, sometimes they insist on their own respective beliefs, sometimes they are fiercely against each other in court and sometimes they will also collaborate, having mutual admiration. Eventually the two develops a relationship, but because they have different philosophies, their relationship falls apart. LA cannot tolerate FU's fighting justice for fame and fortunes. In order to pull her back into the right direction, LA does not hesitate to become enemies with her and does not hesitate to sacrifice himself to save her. As a result, they fall into a 'lovers, but cannot love' ending.

FA LAI-CHU (Charmaine Sheh) is a kind hearted and innocent woman with the IQ of a ten-year-old. When her parents passed away, she shoulders the responsibility to care for her younger sister and brother.

While she is not able to bring home the bacon, she does an exceptional job protecting her siblings, though this often means bringing home hilarious troubles!

Taking charge of the family is Fa's younger sister FA WAI-CHUNG (Lam Chi Sin). She is determined to be successful by hook or by crook in order to take care of her mentally challenged sister and their younger brother, who is immature and has no business sense. She helps her supervisor, who is also her ex-boyfriend, LUK HO-CHEONG (Pierre Ngo), to betray the company they work at.

In the meantime, the chairman of the company TSEUNG SUM (Woo Fung), suffers a stroke. When he is in a coma, his playboy grandson TSEUNG YIK (Raymond Lam) gets fired from work but due to Fa's kindness, Yik does not end up on the street. It does not take long for Fa and Yik to fall in love with each other.

However, when Sum comes around, he strongly opposes their "abnormal" relationship. Unwillingly, Yik breaks up with Fa and returns to the life which everybody perceives as normal.

The founder and first emperor of the Ming Dynasty, CHU YUEN-CHEUNG have just passed away. CHU WAN-MAN (Joel Chan Shan Chung), who is the son of his designated heir, is made his successor. MAN's bodyguard NGO SIU-FUNG (Michael Tse) is ordered to search for CHEUNG's lost will and in the course of his investigation, he gets to know the Prince of YIN CHU TAI's (Joe Ma) counsellor, MA SAM-PO (Sammul Chan). FUNG and PO appreciate and respect each other, but FUNG reminds himself not to drop his guard, as TAI is coveting the throne of MAN. One day, FUNG loses his memory during a mission and has turned from a cruel person into a sympathy filled man. PRINCESS WING-YEUNG (Elanne Kwong) has never liked or trusted brocade guards so she tells PO, a good friend of hers, to guard against FUNG.

MAN still thinks very highly of FUNG, but FUNG has become distrustful since his accident and for a reason he does not know, he finds the mysterious SHUM TSIN-SAM (Kate Tsui) and TAI, to be familiar. Later when he comes to know a secret mission, he is caught in a dilemma of anger and guilt.

Despite the fact that he comes from a long line of disciplined workers, LAW YIU-WAH (Moses Chan) is a teacher of a notorious school. One day, he was urged to resign after being vilified by his students as a peeping Tom.

At present, the triads have expanded their drug network at local schools. WAH, who has turned a cop, is told to go undercover at the school where he used to teach.

At school, he is impressed by the enthusiasm of a new teacher HO MIU-SUET (Tavia Yeung). He also comes to realize he was too strict with his students in the past. With a determination to boost students' confidence, SUET invites bowling expert KOO KA-LAM (Linda Chung) to teach bowling at the school.

When LAM learns about her triad background, he decides to go after her hoping to learn more about the triads. LAM also finds himself in a contest of wits with Inspector CHING MAN-LIK (Ron Ng), who has been assigned to work as a liaison officer at the school.

On one hand, MAN is attracted to SUET but on the other, she only loves WAH. All of a sudden, WAH, SUET, LAM and LIK find themselves involved in a complicated love polygon.

Guangzhou's number one martial artist Lui Gong (Lam) loses a battle against Wong Fei-hung (Chiang), and soon flees the city after he contracts the measles. His son Ching-lung (Wong) later seeks Fei-hung for revenge. Upon seeing Ching-lung's weak fighting techniques, Fei-hung refuses Ching-lung's battle offer and tells him to train himself better before seeking him again.

Fei-hung meets Mok Kwai-lan (Liu) and her older brother Yau Sam-shui (Ma) in a restaurant. The two have always greatly admired Fei-hung and wanted to become his disciples. Due to their father's objections, Fei-hung has no choice but to teach them martial arts in secret. As Fei-hung begins to grow fonder of Kwai-lan, Sam-shui uses his newly trained abilities to win the heart of Kwai Fa (Chen), who has been in love with Ching-lung. Unfortunately for him, Ching-lung has been in love with Kwai-lan, and Kwai-lan with Fei-hung...

Gong returns to Guangzhou and is used by the city's mayor Tong Yuet-hang (Ngok) to pit against Fei-hung. The image of Fei-hung's medical clinic Po Chi Lam is tarnished, and Kwai-lan unknowingly finds herself developing even closer bonds with Fei-hung.

An unrelenting and boastful woman, MAK YAT-MAN (Yoyo Mung) wants to be a wedding planner after she gets the axe, simply for its simple job nature and attractive income.
