Under his new identity, he vowed to give them a taste of losing their loved ones. Meanwhile, he meets his childhood best friend TSUI SAM (Niki Chow) again. The good-hearted SAM just took over the family soy sauce business, but HO did not hesitate to take advantage of his long time friendship with SAM, deceiving her money and heart. HO also plays Ko Family's two daughters, KO YI KUI (Elaine Yiu) and KO YI NGA (Katy Kung) in unscrupulous ways. HO has his own mechanism and plots, which turns him into the biggest love cheater.

Because of this incident, YAN became completely lost in her love life and unable to get out of this predicament.

On one hand, the four good friends loves YAN dearly, but on the other hand, each of them are struggling for survival in the real world. The five of them gets tied in a knot and rolls into a whirlpool of complex relationships, waiting to be rescued.

In the series, Bobby and Tavia play husband and wife who argue all the time. Tavia teased Bobby that he has strike gold and for having a young wife. Bobby teased her back saying Toby Leung played his girlfriend before, and those who play his wife gets younger and younger each time. The reporter asked him if he gets on well with Tavia in the series? Bobby said he is the doctor in the series, but as a doctor, he can’t chase after Tavia who is his patient. After 3 years when he met her again, he wanted to chase after her, but it was too late, she’s dead. Bobby said he can’t reveal too much of the plot, the series has a “western feel” with Chinese artists. He went on to say that Raymond wears glasses in the series, and he looks like a westerner. Raymond plays the role as an unusual “red eye devil”. He revealed that after after working on two movies and this series, he doesn’t need to wear red contact lenses anymore because his eyes would be red anyway. In Addition, Raymond and Tavia would have some sort of relationship in this series.

The story takes place in the Qing Dynasty, revolving around the Sung and Leung Family.. KWAN WAI LAN (Nancy Sit) is the owner of a small business with LEUNG JING YIU as her eldest son (Bowie Lam), LEUNG JING HONG her second son (Sunny Chan), third daughter LEUNG SAU MAN (Casper Chan) and youngest daughter LEUNG SAU YIN (Cilla Kung). YIU originally was a worker at the Jiujiang brewery but due to a natural disaster, rewrote the lives of the Leung and Sung family.

Sung family’s daughter, SUNG CHI CHING (Linda Chung), the third mistress DING KA BIK (Elena Kong) and eldest son SUNG CHI CHUN (Pierre Ngo) were seperated. The Sung family decided to adopt YIU as their son and looked after the business. HONG thought YIU became the Sung family’s son for the sake of wealth.

Just when business for the Jiujiang wine brewery were going well, Sung family’s long lost son returns and wants to claim back ownership of the business. This results in a major feud between the Leung and the Sungs.

Finally, when YIU tied the marriage between CHING and HONG, he was ready to return ownership back to the Sungs. Sadly, his best friend TSANG YUK FONG (Sire Ma)’s father (Lau Kong) causes downfall to the family. The Sung family business is stolen, luckily HONG helps the family rebuild their business. The Sung and Leungs calm their feud.

It seems they had a black-white conflicting relationship, wondering whether they can be together in the end.

In achieving promotion fast, he approached a genius enterpriser, Michael So Sing Pak (Bosco Wong). Pak was leading and managing a gangsterism group which he wanted to enterprising as on par with other organisations. Pak was nurturing and supporting his childhood friend, Paris Yiu Ho Ho (Kate Tsui) in becoming a barrister. Ho thought that she was in love with Pak, and hoping that she would not help Pak in dealing with matters relating to gangsterism. Both of them encountered multiple love, betrayal, separation. Both selfish persons were doubting when one will be betrayed by the other, when it was the most fearsome of all.

The limitless and determined Tong and the smart and confident Pak, they are battling with each other. They are brothers on the surface, but in fact they are doing something on different purpose, and they are forthputting one another.

Sunzhi 18th year. Emperor Sunzhi (Sunny Chan) disillusioned with worldly life shaves head for a monastic life and has set his mind to pass the throne to 2nd Brother, Fuk Quan (Kenneth Ma), but Xiao Zhuang (Ching Hor Wai) thinks Fu Quan is unscrupulous so with a fake posthumous edict enabled 3rd Brother, Xuan Ye, (Power Chan) to become Emperor KangXi, instead. When Sunzhi finds out he writes a secret missive, one half of the secret missive falls into the hands of young Qi Jun Jie's (Steven Ma) father, Qi Wan Chang (Felix Lok). Because of that, Wan Chang (Felix) is pursued and later killed by assassins. In the chaos, Felix hurriedly leaves Jun Jie (Steven) on a flood area under a bridge. Unfortunately, Jun Jie (Steven) eventually got lost and is latter found and taken care of by Zi Ning's (Selena Li) father, Shu Tang, (KK Cheung) who is an anti Qing loyalist.

The series tells of how Fu Quan (KM) uses loyal Qi Jun Jie (SM) and also wife Kuai Lun's (Natalie Tong) father's army, in a calculated step by step attempt to seize the throne. Jun Jie (SM), because of support from KangXi and Fu Quan, becomes an imperial guard, and through it engages in a same generation interaction with them. When he belatedly finds out about his family background and the identity of the enemy who killed his whole family, he is caught between a rock and a hard place.

Wax and Wane 團圓

YUNG SHING-FUN (Lau Siu Ming) and his cousin MAN WING-CHEONG (Chow Chung) have been at odds for years, over the trade name rights of their family's noodle shop.

YUNG YI-TSUN (Kwok Tsun On), FUN's eldest son engages in a property development project in order to solve the problem. Unwillingly, he offers to buy out the location of CHEONG's noodle shop with his company's shares. He also invites CHEONG and his son, MAN KA-FUNG (Chan Kam Hung), to join the company's management.

TSUN actually has ulterior motives for doing this, as he hates FUNG to the core for marrying his girlfriend KO WAI-TING (Kwok Siu Wan). On top of this, TSUN's younger brother, YUNG YI-HANG (Ron Ng), is going out with CHEONG's second daughter, MAN KA-FU (Kate Tsui), regardless of his family's opposition.

Now, TSUN is at his wits' end as he has to handle his family issues single-handedly. He never understood what family ties really meant, nor had he the courage to try to find it out, until now.
